ROOKIE CHALLENGE AWARD

Requirements:

  1. Register for challenge before the start of or during the ride season (June 1-May 31). To register, contact Vicky Thompson (melrosevicky@aol.com or 904-629-6522).  A Rookie Challenge card will be mailed to you with instructions on how to complete card.  If you have a Mentor, submit their name at time of registration.  (Mentor not required).
  2. You must be a current SEDRA member prior to enrolling in the Rookie Challenge.
  3. You will be required to volunteer at one SEDRA sanctioned (either CTR or Endurance) ride during the year that you registered.
  4. You will also be required to ride three (3) SEDRA sanctioned rides of which one (1) can be an IDR/Fun (either CTR or Endurance) ride.
  5. Upon completion please mail your challenge card no later than May 31st to Vicky Thompson, 104 Violet Circle, Interlachen, FL  32148.

Rookie is required to be a current SEDRA member.  Mentor is required to be a current SEDRA member for 2 years.  Award will be presented at year end SEDRA banquet.

 

MENTOR CHALLENGE AWARD

Requirements:

Submit Rookie’s name at time of registration.
  2. Advise Rookie on all aspects of long distance riding, to include: Basic Conditioning, Vetting/Presenting the horse, Health and Safety for horse and rider, and Trail Etiquette.
  3. Participate in at least one conditioning/training ride with rookie during the ride season.
  4. During the ride season, attend one SEDRA sanctioned ride with rookie or be ground support for rookie.
  5. Upon completion please mail your challenge card no later than May 31st to Vicky Thompson, 104 Violet Circle, Interlachen, FL  32148.

Mentor is required to be a current SEDRA member for minimum of 2 years.  Rookie is required to be a current SEDRA member.  Award will be presented at year end SEDRA banquet.
